„golden path, seven“
The basic formal concept for the work “golden path, seven” – a space-spanning installation – consists of several strands that guide the viewer’s eye through the space and thus point to a particular area in the building. These strings move along the ceiling, appearing to originate from the architecture and moving towards a clear destination in the space above. The seemingly organic shape of the individual strands plays with different materials, which are reflected in the architectural concept and also refer to the “Loxone structure”. The basic structure consists of black steel holding concrete slabs with a green primer and a real gold surface. The bodies of the concrete works are formed from the steel holding point via a spherical, 3D-printed, technical-looking basic shape into an organic surface modeled from beeswax. These concrete forms represent an essential aspect of this artistic work – they are based on the artist’s artistic research with the honey bee – they have been cast and modeled in beeswax as a positive. The underlying beeswax, its flattering but fragile appearance manifests itself in the stable artificial stone concrete. The “waxy” surface is emphasized in that the deeper areas of the organic structure appear in “Loxone green” and gold leaf has been applied to the higher and flat areas. The process underlying this work includes, among other things, the aspect of transformation, which on the one hand is inherent in the artist’s work and on the other refers to the constantly moving, naturally changing “social complex” Loxone. The result is an interplay between the steel structure that holds everything in place and the fragile, organic gold-green surface, which can be seen here as a metaphor for the “human”. In addition, the number seven – an important number for Loxone – was incorporated into the artistic design.
